The 822nd was formed in Late May of 2008, by Legion member Ross Manuel ID 7947, and the assistance of a number of members of the 501st Legion.
the group was formed so other medically trained members of Star Wars Costuming Clubs could have a place to discuss what it is like to be a medic apart of the most unique organizations in the world. Soon after forming, it was discovered that a number of members already treated their fellow Troopers, so it was decided that the group would focus both on Medically trained members, but how to treat other members.

You think you got what It takes to be a medic of the 822nd? well if you have a desire to care for your fellow Troopers, valid Medical cerificate with at least 11 hours of training under your belt (equivalent of a two day course). as well as a approved costume, then you are more than welcome to join.
